The report is 275 pages long and seems to cover every possible aspect of a successful vendor selection process from beginning to end. You will find all you need to know about how to make the business case for web analytics as well as the information you need in order to make an informed decision when selecting a vendor and solution. Helpful summaries tell you strengths as well as weaknesses for each solution and you get some tips on how to successfully implement web analytics. There is also information about architecture, data accuracy, the support for exporting and importing data and much more.

The solutions that are covered in the report are ClickTracks, Coremetrics, Fireclick, Google Analytics, Omniture SiteCatalyst, WebTrends Analytics 8, WebSideStory HBX Analytics, SageMetrics SageAnalyst, Unica Affinium NetInsight 7.1, Visual Sciences Visual Site, Open AdStream Analytics, RTmetrics and Nedstat Sitestat.

Several web analytics customers as well as several web analysts, including Gary Angel, Justin Cutroni, Stephane Hamel and Robbin Steif, have contributed with insights to the report.

The author, Phil Kemelor, is the founder of PKWeb Communications and has also written “The Executive’s Guide to Web Site Measurement and Testing.”
