The Market for Web Analytics Is Hot

December 6th, 2007 by Lars Johansson

Eric T. Peterson and Richard Maven are painting the picture of a hot market for web analytics. I can confirm that it is also true for the Nordic region. I often get calls from companies looking for talented web analysts, and they aren’t easy to find. I know at least one company that has been searching for more than four months now.

Creating Conversation on the ZAAZ Website

December 5th, 2007 by Lars Johansson

This is a conversation I had with the ZAAZ website.

Should I use Google Analytics, Omniture or WebTrends?

Use the force.

For web analytics?

Your purpose is web analytics.

That’s all I’m good for, huh?

What else do you want to talk about? That was my reaction, too.

What books have you authored?

A Beautiful Mind, by Sylvia Nasar

Is she a good employee?

That’s a good question. But can you try asking it differently? Would you like to know who we work for?

So, what do you sell?

Hmm… I have no response for that. Please give me another clue. Would you like to talk to someone?

That’s probably a good idea

Thanks for explaining probably a good idea.

Call me.

What is your phone number?

I entered a phone number, but the response was just to rephrase it. That’s when I dropped off.
